Steve McDowell Consulting Limited was established in 2005 with the purpose of providing consultancy services in the fields of:

  • Project management
  • Governance and management advice, training and development
  • Risk management
  • Civil defence

Since that time we have undertaken projects for a wide range of private companies, central and local government organisations, sports organisations, not for profits and volunteer agencies.

Emergency Planning Limited (EPL)

In 2006 EPL was formed. Dean Myburgh, Craig Shearer and I formed the company in response to requests for specialist advice in the risk, business continuity and emergency management fields. Steve McDowell Consulting undertakes work in those fields through EPL. 

Meeting and Governance Solutions Limited (MAGS)

Governance, management, project management, training, strategic planning, policy development / review, organisational development and specialist local government advice are all now delivered through MAGS. MAGS were formed in 2007 in partnership with former Auckland City Councillor Vern Walsh. MAGS is a leading consultancy in the local government sector. Click here for the link to the MAGS website
